Good luck running a session relying on punching into a track. Zoom settings are having random weird problems. They are all excellent and capable DAWs. However, after using Logic Pro X, it is hard to migrate to any other music software. I find myself able to create music with relative ease that the other DAWs just are not capable of. The MIDI capabilities alone are second to none in Logic and the ability to compose music in all styles makes it the best of the best.
Another huge plus is the constant and free updates Apple provides… updates that are really upgrades in the quality and number of plug-ins and soft instruments built into the program. Aliases are pointers, created in the Finder. If you create an Alias of a folder, it will point to that folder wherever it is on any hard disk.
Then create an Alias Command-L of that folder in the new location. Then you can delete the original version of that content in the original default installed location and move the Alias to that spot, taking its place. Now when you load an instrument that uses some of those samples, and Logic goes looking for them in the default location, it should simply follow the Alias to the new location An Alias points to selected items moved to a dedicated external sample library hard disk.
This has always worked perfectly for me, although some people seem to have problems occasionally. These perform the same way Aliases do, but they work differently under the hood, and should survive incremental updates to the sample library, at least in theory the installer should follow the Link to the relocated folder when adding new content.

Hi Darren. This may sound a little bit off-topic, but not thaaat much to tell the truth: you seem to be the only one in the whole web to know how to solve this problem : I have downloaded and installed skund the Garageband and Logic Pro libraries, plus a couple of Jam Packs.

If the Sound Library is not available for example, if it is installed on an external drive that is lost or not connected to your computer , it is reinstalled in the default location on your system drive.
You can view and delete Logic Pro content by choosing About This Mac from the Apple menu, clicking Storage, then clicking the Manage button for your system storage drive. You can view the capacity of the Instrument Library and Apple Loops library and delete each of these items.
If you delete Logic Pro content that is required for a patch or software instrument, Logic Pro prompts you to re-download that content the next time you try to use the patch or instrument. While additional content is downloading, a progress bar appears in the lower part of the LCD. You can view more detailed information about the progress of the download by clicking the progress bar.
